Ecolean, a global leader in lightweight, sustainable packaging, is dedicated to providing innovative solutions for the food and beverage industry while minimizing environmental impact.

As a key touchpoint for customers and partners worldwide, Ecolean’s website plays a crucial role in its global presence. However, in China, the site faced significant challenges.

Even though the website was built with global best development practices, nearly half of its resources failed to load, resulting in a slow and incomplete user experience.

By partnering with Comprend and Chinafy, Ecolean transformed its website performance. What was once unreliable now loads seamlessly in China—fully interactive in just 0.9 seconds and visually complete within 3–5 seconds.


The Challenge

Ecolean faced two key hurdles with their website in China:

Inaccessible Resources: Over half of the site’s elements—images, scripts, fonts—were missing or slow. For example, the site uses Google reCAPTCHA which was inaccessible and deterring form submissions in China.

Technical Complexity: With a global website built on Umbraco and hosted via Azure, Ecolean needed a solution that worked seamlessly without overhauling its infrastructure.

These issues made it hard for Ecolean to reach their audience in a market where digital experience matters more than ever.

Easy Implementation – Without disrupting Ecolean’s existing Azure and Umbraco setup, Chinafy’s solution worked on top of their infrastructure—delivering results without requiring a costly rebuild.
